Metalwork - Projects - Tapping & Screwing
This is just a simple exercise to practice tapping and screwing. The project can be varied by using different size screws, although if an M3 is used care must be taken not to break the tap.
Brass is a good material for tapping and screwing exercises due to it's brittleness. Mild Steel is a lot tougher to tap and thread well, but it is a good material to hone skills on. Use of a thread cutting compund will also improve results.
